I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year! I plan to start posting some of the gifts and projects my husband worked on soon! We were quite busy this year with small desks, cowls, dry rubs, foot scrubs, etc… With the new year we also decided to make some resolutions. Hopefully, you did too 🙂 Here’s what my husband, Matt, and I came up with:

1. Finish a new workout which happens to be Tapout

2. Try new ingredients more frequently. (This one is probably my favorite!) So far, we have had radishes, tofu, whole olives, capers, and poppy seeds but of course  not all in one meal.

3. Stick to a cleaning schedule. This one is mostly me, but I’ve got to start being consistent at some point right? As of right now the day of the week and task start with the same letter so maybe I will remember to do it. Silly I know but at least it’s worked so far. Here’s what it looks like… Sunday savings, Monday mirrors, Tuesday tub and towels, Wednesday wash clothes, Thursday toilets, Friday floors, and Saturday sinks.

I would love to know if any of you decided on any resolutions and how they are working out!

No Sew Rose – Free Pattern.

It’s been way to long since I’ve posted and would like to share a link to a new crochet flower pattern and give an update.

I haven’t tried to make this flower yet, but I looks pretty simple and would make a great a accessory to any baby girl hat! Please follow the link through the picture to find the pattern created by Alli Hyer. She has a lot of other really cute patterns to check out as well.

In the mean time, I’ve been crocheting a lion set, aviator hat, polar bear hat, and painting custom cups for the store! I’ve been really busy and loving every minute of it! Never new running my own online business would be so much fun. 🙂

Crochet Lion Set for Newborn

Yay! I am so excited about this new item I just added to my store. I crocheted the little outfit a week or so ago and have been bouncing around with excitement as I waited for pictures. Needless to say the wait was worth it!

Lezlie with Bellies, Babies, & Beyond did an excellent job with this photo! I’m definitely looking forward to working with her on future projects.

So, I love DIY projects, which you have probably figured out by now! Well here is a fun and easy one that can be customized to work with any decor. If I decide to tackle this project (and hopefully I will), I will be sure to post pics.

Other than looking at all sorts of DIY self projects on blogs and pinterest, I’ve been crocheting myself out of house and home. I recently purchase a couple of baby patterns from another store on Etsy, and I can’t stop thinking about how many different colors I can make each of them in. I’m definitely won over by the cuteness factor of baby stuff, but I also love how quickly these projects go. If you would to see some of my recent projects, please check out my store.

Flowers, Bracelets, Sock, Cups …. What’s next?

So, I’ve been a bit busy with all sorts of projects the past week 🙂

First off, I finished a pair of socks I’ve been working on since October for a Christmas gift. This project has taken forever!!! I’m so glad they are finished, and I will post a picture as soon as I am finished blocking them.

Then, I finished making 10 large flowers (23″ in diameter) from paper bags for an anniversary party this past Sunday! Thankfully, I didn’t procrastinate and actually finished them a week early; otherwise, the reception hall might have smelt like a hardware store. In case if anyone is interested in making these avoid white paint. I sprayed three coats on four of them, and I can still see some of the bag through the paint.

This super fun party was decorated and organized by Phyllis Williams who owns Moments by Mavens. Please contact her if you need help planning your next party!

Next, I decided to crochet some bracelets, which were super easy. I had to pick an easy project after those crazy socks. So, I picked something that took an hour tops.  Before I add these to my Etsy store, I have sent my prototype to my sister to test. Hopefully she will let me know how it works out soon. Finally, I’ve started a new set of cups for my Etsy store with some new black puff paint I purchased a month ago. I’ve only finished half of one since I’ve been working on everything else… Hopefully I can find time to work on some more of these soon.
